Welcome to three keys to eliminating negative thoughts. The concept that thoughts create your reality has become an accepted way for many people. Suggesting that one can clear their mind of negative thoughts by simply not thinking of them is like saying, ‘don’t think of a pink elephant.’ Instantly one thinks of a pink elephant standing there. It is impossible for the brain to think backward. In other words, what not to think. The brain is wired to instantly grasp information to use it immediately or store it for survival. Knowledge, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, words, and actions are forms of energy. What you believe, think, feel, say, and do in each moment comes back to you to create your reality. Energy moves in a circle. So what goes around comes around – the combined belief, thoughts, feelings, words, and actions of everyone on the planet creates a collective consciousness – it creates the world we live in. The power of beliefs and thoughts is difficult to estimate. Negative thoughts drain your energy. The more you allow yourself to think negative thoughts, the stronger they become, and the more energy they drain from you. Have you ever wondered how or why a negative thought pops into your mind? The thoughts seem to come from nowhere when you are going about your day, minding your own business, not thinking about anything in particular, when out of the blue comes this incredible negative thought. It may be a thought that you have not consciously had before, or it may be a chronic, recurring one. Either way, there it is, creating actual physiological change to your body chemistry. These negative thoughts compel you to react physically, consciously, and unconsciously, and the moment is changed. The most important thing one can do to promote healthy brain activity is to eliminate negative thoughts and focus on positive, uplifting thoughts. These three easy steps provide a framework to accomplish your goal of eliminating negative thoughts.
Number one: Identify one negative, reoccurring thought you want to eliminate.
Number two: Observe your thoughts and what you say. Each time you notice yourself thinking or saying the undesirable or negative thought, replace it with a predetermined thought.
Number three: Without judgment, practice canceling the undesirable thought and replace it with the new thought any time you notice yourself thinking or saying the undesirable thought.
Within two or three weeks, you will notice you seldom think or say the undesirable thought. So welcome yourself to your new way of creating new thoughts, which are no longer negative thoughts and will no longer negatively affect your health.
